MEMORIAL DAY: MAY 26

Hair must be pinned back neatly. Girls taking pointe classes must wear their hair in a bun. All pointe students must take a minimum of four classes weekly: two technique, one pointe class, and stretch class.

Please call the studio (607.432.6290) when your child cannot make class. Make-up classes will be allowed for students who have been ill, if space allows. Please call the studio to see if we have room in a class for a child to make-up.

Please look at our website (deckerschoolofballet.org), find us on FB, or listen to WZOZ or WRSK for closing due to inclement weather. We DO NOT close when the Oneonta School district does. If there has been no announcement by 2:00 PM on weekdays, the studio will be open. 

For your children’s safety, please be prompt in delivering and picking them up. 

Recital dates will be announced in early October. Pre-School, Beginner, Intermediate I and II students will rehearse for the recital during the second half of their class hour beginning in March. They will be required to attend the last three Saturday rehearsals (THE THREE SATURDAYS PRIOR TO PERFORMANCE.) Older participants must be available for rehearsals on Saturdays and/or Sundays beginning in March.

Costume deposits will be due the beginning of January. All students who participate in the annual recital are obligated to pay tuition for the full term.

“Nutcracker” auditions will be held in the studio Saturday, September 28. Those who are cast in “The Nutcracker” must be available for rehearsals on Saturdays and/or Sundays from October 12 through performance dates. Nutcracker dates are December 19, 20, and 21.
